Hayes next fight?

Anthony Joshua could be in line to fight David Haye next summer as promoter Eddie Hearn plots the Olympic heavyweight gold medallist's path to become a world champion.
Joshua heads the bill at this Saturday's Matchroom Boxing show at the O2 Arena in London when he looks to extend his unbeaten professional record to 9-0 in a WBC International title bout against Russian Denis Bakhtov.
The 24-year-old will then face veteran Michael Sprott in a British title eliminator on November 22 on the undercard of the Tony Bellew-Nathan Cleverly grudge match in Liverpool.

Hearn, a columnist for Sportsmail, has tipped the London 2012 hero to cruise through those fights and is already looking to 2015 where he expects Joshua to rip through his British rivals.
The winner of the eagerly-anticipated November 29 fight between Derek Chisora and Tyson Fury is on Hearn's agenda for Watford fighter Joshua, while a bout with 2008 Beijing Olympics bronze medallist David Price could also be on the cards.
Should Joshua come through convincingly, Hearn has revealed he would love to stage a summer showdown with former world heavyweight champion Haye.

'I would like to see him in with the Chisora-Fury winner and he will be 10-0 by then,' Hearn told ESPN's Nick Parkinson. 'If he's dealing with Bakhtov and Sprott inside two or three rounds, he's definitely ready for Chisora, Fury or Price next year.
'David Haye next summer might be a big fight as well if he's still fighting.
'They are all big fights but Anthony Joshua is going to be the money in the heavyweight division.'
Haye has not fought since his fifth-round knockout of Chisora at Upton Park in 2012.
But the popular Londoner, who faced the threat of retirement, is understood to be keen to return to the ring after a positive recuperation from shoulder.

Joshua recently spent time in Austria sparring with Wladimir Klitschko before the injured world heavyweight champion's postponed fight against Kubrat Pulev.
As reported in Tuesday's Sports Agenda by Charles Sale, Klitschko, who famously defeat Haye in Hamburg for the WBA title three years ago, was 'surprised' by Joshua's tremendous speed and strength.
It will be no surprise to Hearn, however, should Joshua one day succeeds current king Klitschko as the best heavyweight on the planet.

Should the beard stay or go

The Hayemaker is back..... Should the beard stay or go.... I'm undecided

Mark De Mori

BoxingScene.com caught up with rated WBA heavyweight contender #MarkDeMori (27-1-2) following his most recent DQ win over Marino Goles (16-1) in Germany.  Here is what he had to say:

BoxingScene: Ultimately the referee decided to disqualify Goles in the 3rd round for repeated fouls.  Are you upset with having to settle for the DQ?

DE MORI:  I was too fast and elusive for Goles.  I think he knew I was going to be hard to catch and he got frustrated.  No big deal.  So long as I keep making gains in my training and performance, I am happy—eventually I will get a chance to prove myself against the best, and that’s what I am looking forward to.

BoxingScene:  Although 32 is young for a heavyweight, you’ve been a pro 10 years now.  Are you frustrated that you haven’t gotten your big break yet?

DE MORI:  I see my career a lot like Bermane Stiverne’s.  Like me, he’s been a pro approximately 10 years but he’s only made a name for himself recently in his last two fights against Chris Arreola.  Bermane was just as talented before the first Arreola fight, but no one knew it.  I am 3 years younger than Bermane, so I am being patient because I’ve got a great supportive team around me and I know my time will come.

BoxingScene:  Who would you like to fight next?

DE MORI: Obviously, everyone wants a title shot but Klitschko has his hands full with injuries and mandatories.  More realistic for me in the near term is perhaps the winner of Stiverne and Wilder.  I am rated in the WBA, so naturally it would be an honor to box Ruslan Changaev for the WBA championship.  Also, I would welcome a fight in Russia against Alexander Povetkin if he beats Takam.  But the fight I would really want is David Haye, if he decides to come back this year.

BoxingScene:  Why Haye?

DE MORI: First off, Haye is a tremendous boxer and I have a great deal of respect for him.  He’s the former WBA heavyweight champion and unified cruiserweight champion. Even though David’s been inactive, he’s still one of the top 2-3 attractions in the heavyweight division and brings excitement. Most importantly, David brings a big audience every time he fights.  He’s a showman that knows how to sell a fight.  That being said, David hasn’t boxed in a professional boxing match in two years and he’s in a tricky situation.  I don’t think his fans will let him come back against anyone.  I think they will want him to fight a ranked contender.  But the reality is, coming off such a long layoff, I think he would have trouble dealing with my constant pressure and strength.  I think his timing will be way off and plus he’s coming off a major injury.  It’s the perfect time to fight and beat him!  If Haye comes back, that’s a fight I will pursue.  A big win on a big stage, that’s what I am looking for.

David haye responds to Al Haymon rumors

Rumors going around indicate that David Haye has split with trainer/manager Adam Booth, and could be nearing a deal with powerful adviser Al Haymon, who more and more is controlling the high-level landscape in the boxing world.
Haye, who turns 34 in October, hasn't fought since dominating Dereck Chisora in July 2012. He had two dates with Tyson Fury, but canceled both due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. There was some talk that Haye (26-2, 24 KO) may have to retire, but that's not going to be the case.
"People ask me, 'Are you going to come out of retirement?' I've never been in retirement," Haye told iFilm London and BoxNation's Kugan Cassius. "I never made a statement to say I'm retired. There were doctors who advised me to retire because of the injury, there were others who said, you know, you may be able to recover, if you do this, this, and this.
"I've done the rehabilitation process, and I'm really happy. There's nothing I can't do now that I could do before. So physically, I'm in a really good place. Mentally, I'm not that bad. I'm in a good place."
Haye then said that there are things being discussed and worked on that he can't yet officially announce, but said that sometime in the coming weeks we should hear something, which in Haye terms could mean sometime in the next couple of weeks, or sometime in November.
"Lots of stuff's been going on behind the scenes. Good stuff, positive. Stuff moving forward. In the next couple of weeks -- next two, three weeks, there should be some big, big announcements. Some big, shocking announcements to the world. What they are, I don't really want to allude to. It's all positive stuff that's going to get me to my ultimate goal of being undisputed heavyweight champion."
But Haye was clear that he hasn't actually signed with anybody as of today.
"I haven't signed anything with anybody as yet. I've not signed anything official. I haven't signed anything regarding any promoter, manager, trainer, adviser, shrink, psychiatrist, I haven't signed anything with anybody. When I do start signing stuff, which should be not too long away, I'll let everyone know. But I'm still in the process where there are still things up in the air. I don't know want to start saying I'm doing this, or I'm not doing this, because I don't want anything to conflict with each other." (Badlefthook) #Davidhaye #Hayemaker
